silas burroughs HALL brings us back to a time before his own

PRESS PLAY

Over the summer break, we got word that Terantula had a break(up) of its own, and Hall would be carrying things forward the way it had really always been.

…And as it turns out, what feels like a screaming match that might lead to a breakup in the new ‘labelmaker’ it doesn't seem to have slowed him down much.

In fact, it may have pushed things even further in a direction that was his all along.

The truth is, all of the material and playing/programming had always been a Silas-led solo effort. His hope was to eventually build that material into a proper band, and when friends came aboard to fill the drummer and bassist roles, it seemed like the right evolution. The band began tightening up, and plans were taking shape for some weekend-warrior touring around the Midwest this year.

That won't be happening now.

But what is happening might actually be better.

With ticket prices climbing and gas just as expensive for artist and audience, Silas has instead been holed up in what appears to be a basement somewhere—where the lights are red and the screams are fucking epic.

The result is raw, loud, and unapologetically his own take on a classic form of rock, circa 1996-97? [[You could say 2026 was his own summer]] (😂 get it?)

Seome new music had been sent our way, but were caught by surprise with a spontaneous release— which come to think of it was pretty punk rock of him to let us find out like everyone else. So, give the kid the street cred he earned. Label-Shmabel. ‘Labelmaker’ is raw, rocking, and a step toward something even more distinctly Silas—while still rooted in a whole lot of music that should sound immediately familiar to anyone who has been listening for that kind of deftness— or wait, I meant still waiting for the next Deftones…
